What is the General Education Resource Center?

This website was created to allow faculty up-to-the-minute access to Anderson College's General Education reform. Here you can see what faculty have so far approved, find all the forms and related information necessary to craft your own course proposal, and access helpful secondary information related to interdisciplinary teaching and gen ed reform as a whole.

How Do I Use the Links?
Just click on the arrows or the headings and you'll see a pull-down list of menus.

Here's what we need from you now:

The committee asks that you prepare a 1-page proposal that includes the following:
·      Names of faculty work group developing the course
·      Discipline(s) addressed
·      Level of educational experience for students, e.g. beginning, intermediate, advanced
·      General narrative description of the course
Although not required with the initial proposal, we ask you to review the attached sheet that lists the General Education Outcomes (passed unanimously by faculty in December 2001) in a table format for easy reference.
Following preliminary proposal acceptance by the GECC, this document should serve as a major reference during the period of course development.
