Ms. Valerie Owens—Instructor—Computer Information Systems

An understanding of business and technology is necessary to be successful as a business leader. Successful completion of the Computer Information Systems Concentration in Anderson University's College of Business prepares students to perform as a manager in technology-based organizations, as a professional capable of integrating and implementing technology into existing organizations, and as a leader in creating new processes, products, and services based on information systems and business concepts.

My goals for my classes are to:

· Relate traditional business courses to computer information systems

· Provide an understanding of how computer and information systems are applied to reach business objectives

· Demonstrate how technology affects an organization, its employees and its value chain
